The rings consist of axial cages with one or two rows of cylindrical rollers. Diameter series 1, 2, 3, 4 correspond to DIN 616 / ISO 104. The cages are made of plastic or brass. The rings feature an especially low axial design height, are highly loadable, and very rigid. They absorb axial forces from one direction. Radial forces must be taken up separately. Axial rings are combined with housing or shaft washers or integrated directly into the mounting structure. If used without thrust bearing washers, the raceway must be designed as a rolling bearing raceway.
