Cam rollers consist of thick-walled outer rings with profiled rolling surfaces, solid roller pins with mounting threads, thrust washers, and needle cages or fully rolling or fully needle bearing single- or double-row rolling element sets. They accommodate high radial loads as well as axial forces arising from minor misalignments and angular motion, making them suitable for cam drives, guideways, conveyor systems, etc.
Cam rollers correspond to support rollers with axial guidance but instead of an inner ring feature a solid roller pin. The pin includes a mounting thread and, in most cases, hex sockets on both sides. They are also available with shrunk-on eccentric rings. The eccentric ring allows the adjustment of the outer ring’s rolling surface to the mating track of the adjoining construction. Cam rollers are offered with labyrinth, split, and sliding seals.
