Four-point bearings belong to the category of single-row angular contact ball bearings and therefore require significantly less axial installation space than double-row designs. The bearings consist of solid outer rings, split inner rings, and ball sets with brass or polyamide cages. The two-piece inner rings allow for accommodating a large number of balls. The inner ring halves are matched to the specific bearing and must not be interchanged with those of bearings of the same size. The outer ring with the ball set and the two inner ring halves can be installed separately from each other.
