The difference between FPM, FKM and Viton®
The terms FPM, FKM and Viton® often cause confusion, but all these names refer to the same base material – fluorocarbon elastomer.
- FPM is the international abbreviation according to the DIN-ISO standard.
- FKM is the abbreviation for fluoroelastomers under the American ASTM standard.
- Viton® is the trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers.
