Rolling Bearings for Machine Tools
Machine tools are machines that guide tools to process workpieces (cutting, shaping, removing material).
Typical applications include:
- Milling machines
- Turning machines
- Drilling machines
- Pressing machines
- Laser processing machines
Spindle Bearings
Spindle bearings are high-precision, single-row angular contact ball bearings. Due to their very tight tolerances, these bearings are especially suited for applications with the highest demands on guiding accuracy, such as in the support of main spindles in machine tools.
The bearings are available in all designs relevant for the support of main spindles in machine tools. Spindle bearings in universal design can be installed in any arrangement without loss of performance or combined into various sets. There are versions with steel or ceramic balls, bearing rings made of standard rolling bearing steel or high-performance steel, open or sealed, and in Direct-Lube design.
For example, high-speed spindle bearings feature smaller steel balls or ceramic balls and are equipped with labyrinth seals.
Direct-Lube bearings are designed for extreme speeds. They are used when oil-air lubrication is required and a reliable lubricant supply must be ensured.
