SPEEDI-SLEEVE shaft repair sleeves were developed by SKF to address the issue of worn sealing sliding surfaces on shafts in a simple and effective manner. These extremely thin-walled sleeves, featuring an almost perfect surface finish and hardness, are simply slipped over the worn sliding surface. The sliding surface is then practically as good as new—if not even better.

SPEEDI-SLEEVE eliminates the need to dismantle and rework shafts, thereby avoiding costly machine downtime. Maintaining the original seal size eliminates the search for alternative shaft seals, simplifies spare parts inventory management, and saves considerable time.

No special tools are required for installation, as an appropriate impact cap is included in the delivery. A plastic hammer and optionally pliers are all that is needed.
