Thrust spherical roller bearings are single-row, angularly adjustable roller bearings. They consist of solid shaft and housing washers and asymmetrical barrel rollers with cages. The cage holds the roller assembly together with the shaft washer. The bearings are separable, allowing the bearing components to be installed separately. Thrust spherical roller bearings can accommodate very high axial loads and allow relatively high speeds. Due to the raceways inclined to the bearing axis, the bearings are also capable of carrying radial loads. Thrust spherical roller bearings are unsealed and unlubricated. They must be lubricated with oil.
