Needle bushings and needle bearings are assemblies consisting of thin-walled, non-machined outer rings and needle cages. Needle bushings are also available as full-needle versions. The majority of these bearings are single-row. Needle bushings and needle bearings are available in open and sealed designs. Open types comply with DIN 618-1/ISO 3245. To accommodate axial forces, the bearings can also be combined with axial needle bearings AXW.
Exceptionally low cross-sectional height
Due to the thin-walled outer sleeve and the absence of an inner ring, needle bushings and needle bearings have an extremely low radial build. They offer high load capacity, are suitable for high speeds, and are particularly easy to assemble. If shoulders, retaining rings, etc. for axial securing are omitted, the housing bore can be designed simply and especially economically. Double-row designs have a lubrication hole and the suffix ZW.
